Welcome! 

Welcome to St. Albans Festival which we are delighted to announce is to become an annual event.  This year we kick off with the spectacular Festival Pilgrimage, and finish with the brilliant national dance initiative The Big Dance.

The festival fortnight will see the District come alive with music and entertainment in the parks, pubs, theatres and streets to celebrate its rich culture and heritage.  During the two weeks the all new St Albans Food and Drink Festival will demonstrate culinary delights and food tips from local and international chefs.  A host of big names including Paul Merton and Jimmy Carr will also join the celebrations.

From Music in the Parks on the first weekend through Folk at the Festival to the finale including Fuze World Music, and The Big Dance, the Festival demonstrates the amazing live music which St. Albans City & District can offer. Our aim is entertainment for the whole family.

The programme ranges from world music to guided walks, film to folk and comedy to community events taking in theatre and visual arts on the way.  Best of all, lots of events are free.
